Where Is Coonabarabran?

On the divide between the Central West & North West Slopes in New South Wales is the Warrumbungle region where Coonabarabran is situated.

Our beautiful town is famous for its astronomy and the largest observatory in Australia. We have a population of over 3,170 residents (Census 2011) and are surrounded by towns such as Binnaway, Baradine, Coolah & Mendooran to name a few.

Coonabarabran is a one hour drive from Gunnedah, Narrabri & Gilgandra and is located approximately half way between Dubbo and Tamworth.
